The PAW-fect Day
August 26th was International Doggie Day, so it just makes sense to focus our newsletter on our furr-legged friends.
Did you know that over 40% of American households own at least 1 dog? That's a lot of doggie loving, and when it comes to weddings, couples will often ask if their fur babies can attend their weddings.
This isn't a simple yes or no, so keep reading to find out the scoops:
INDOOR VENUES: Most indoor venues will not allow pets if you're serving any food or drinks. So for most indoor receptions, dogs will not be allowed. If your ceremony is indoors and it's just a ceremony (no food or drinks), there is a better chance that your dog can attend.
OUTDOOR VENUES: Surprisingly, a lot of outdoor venues also do not allow pets. This can be due to the other animals on property (ranches, for example), of if your venue is a well-maintained historical site - they may not allow pets of any kind.
The best thing to do is ask your venue whether or not you can bring your doggie BFF before putting down a deposit, especially if not having him at your wedding is a deal breaker. We LOVE dogs, so understanding the rules of your venue is key for a successful wedding. Let us know if you have doggie day questions - we'd love to help!
