To Do or Not to Do: The Bridal Makeup Trial Question Answered
We get this question a lot, and we’re here to answer it once and for all.
Is a bridal makeup trial necessary?
Necessary? No.
Do I recommend it? 100% YES!
Knowing what you want for your wedding day and how long it takes to achieve that look can keep you calm during the craziness of your WEDDING DAY.
The benefits of doing a trial include:
Testing out your look in advance, so you don’t end up with any unwanted surprises.
Finding any allergies or reactions to the makeup products BEFORE your wedding day - especially if you have sensitive skin!
It’s a perfect opportunity to discuss your likes and dislikes with your makeup artist - always be honest if you like or don’t like something so the artist can fix and adjust it!
Speaking of your makeup artist, you will want to give them a chance to check your skin tone and features before the big event so they can get an idea of how best to make you look stunning.
You have more confidence because you have the time to fix anything without feeling rushed.
Tip: Schedule your trial in the morning if possible, so you can see how long your look lasts. And a bonus? Do your engagement shoot or go to a nice dinner. Just make sure your hair and makeup artist knows so they can adjust your look as needed.
Some makeup artists include a trial run in their packages, and others offer it as an add on, so consider that when booking one. It’s extra budgeting, but 100% worth it. Let’s chat - what do you picture yourself looking like when you think of your wedding day? We’d love to hear from you!
