Our FAVORite Favors!
We've been getting a lot of questions about favors - do we have to have them? How much do we have to spend on them? What should they be?
Here's the thing. It's your wedding, so personalize it to you! Do you like sweets? Do candy. Are you two coffee snobs? Do coffee! It really is a fun way to showcase your personalities, and I ALWAYS love a little pun to go along with the favor. (For the coffee favors, their theme was love is brewing - adorable)!
As the person who has to clean up the leftover items at the end of the night, here are some suggestions to make sure guests take their favors:
Guests LOVE food! Cookies are by far the most popular and to be honest, a lot of your guests will snack on them before they have the chance to take them home. Definitely very little waste with cookie favors. Other easy food favors that guests always take include: candies, mints, popcorn
Guests LOVE lei! Whether you hang it on each ceremony chair, or on a display as they enter, guests (especially your guests coming from out of town), love donning a colorful, fragrant lei.
Guests LOVE unique, personalized *functional* favors. We had a couple who loved snacking, chips and popcorn was their favorite. So each guest got a bag of chips, a bag of popcorn and personalized chip clip. Everyone needs chip clips and I still have mine from that wedding. It's so useful!
MY PERSONAL PICK: I'm honestly obsessed with dessert bars, but not one table of desserts on the side somewhere. I'm talking about a dessert bar on each guest table - 50-100 pieces of desserts on EACH TABLE. What I love about this dessert bar on each table is it can serve 3 purposes - (1) dessert, (2) centerpiece, and (3) a favor. It's a 3-in-1 dream come true! Is this over the top? Yes. Is it worth it? 100%.
