5 Things Wedding Planners Wish You Knew
Today I want to talk about a very important topic — things that your wedding planner wish you knew.
I've gone over this topic on my podcast Unveiling Paradise (with my cohost Joseph Esser), but in case you didn't catch this episode, I think it's worth mentioning here. Also... the link is HERE if you want to listen to the full episode. We share tons of great tips and honestly, we're kinda funny, too! :)
With that said, here are 5 things your wedding planner wants you to know:
We're not all the same, so hire the right planner for your wedding vision..
There are a range of services wedding planners can offer, from day of to full service so make sure you're choosing someone that's right for you.
We don't know everything..
But trust that we will ALWAYS have your best interest at heart and will do everything we can for you and your wedding. Trust is the key to any relationship, and it's crucial to have a good, trusting relationship between you and your wedding planner.
Use social media as a starting point..
But understand that a lot of what you see are styled shoots, or staged, so it might not always be possible for your wedding.
The big one... WE GOT YOU!
We're here to be your hype squad, fixer of all things, therapist, bouncers, and anything else you need us to be. Lean in and let us be there for you.
We're humans, too.
At the end of the day, we're all humans and working hard for your wedding day. Treating us (and your entire vendor team) with kindness will go a long way.
Ultimately, your wedding planner is there for you and your wedding, so allow them the freedom to make your wedding the best it can possibly be! Let us know if we're missing anything - is there something else you think clients should know about wedding planners?
