Multiple Venues
Multiple Venues - The best of all worlds…
Today I want to talk about ceremony and reception venues - is it better to do everything at one venue? Or two completely separate venues? As a planner and coordinator, having everything in one location is A DREAM! It makes the entire day smoother, and so much easier.
With that said, there is something to be said about having your ceremony at a completely different location that your reception. My couple below dreamed of palm trees and grassy beaches for their ceremony, but having a reception in Waikiki so their guests could easily walk back to their hotels.
Lanikuhonua was their PERFECT ceremony location, and they even SURPRISED their guests, choosing to get them on a bus without letting them know where they were going. Stepping off the bus at this magical location was such a memorable experience for everyone.
After the ceremony, guests were shuttled back to Waikiki where they could freshen up, take a quick power nap, and head to the Moana Surfrider for dinner under the starts - complete with fire knife dancers and a post wedding after-party. It was truly the best of both worlds! :) What do you prefer? Everything in one venue? Or changing things up for both? Either way, we'd love to hear from you!
